I was born French, in a part of France whose history has been troubled by wars, in a torn, multicultural family. I lived and worked happily in France for a number of years before moving to New Caledonia for work. I have now settled in Australia, and enjoy every single minute of my life as an Australian citizen in Townsville. My years as a lecturer and associate professor are behind me: I enjoyed teaching Australian Literature to millions (?) of students in France, New Caledonia, and Australia. Now I enjoy being able to paint full time, all the time, and to learn more and more about art.
PLACE, IDENTITY, BELONGING
my stories are all about being - being born and alive and belonging -
these are the issues I am looking at - and I love the tropics ❣️ and crocodiles ☺️
BORN and WELCOME
are metaphoric expressionistic representations of MY VOICE and STORY
and my OUTLOOK on the world.
